A bunch of new releases

May 12, 2020
New versions of Modoboa and its plugins have been released and it is important to note that Python 2 support has been dropped, mainly because this version of Python has reached its end of life. If you installed Modoboa using Python 2, you need to make sure Python 3.5+ is available on your system before you can upgrade. For those who used the installer and if you didn't make any change to your configuration, you can remove the original virtual env (default location is /srv/modoboa/env) and run the installer in upgrade mode.

Modoboa 1.15.0

The following new features are introduced by this version:

  • The possibility for users to recover their password by SMS. For now, only OVH is supported as a provider.
  • The possibility to send a notification by email to a given address when new versions of Modoboa are available. This feature was sponsored
  • The possibility to declare a secondary LDAP server (fallback mode) for authentication or synchronization
  • A new command to import LDAP accounts from an external directory
  • A new command to synchronize LDAP authentication configuration with Dovecot
